A claim for disability that developed as a result or or worsened by a disability which the VA has established and determined to be already service connected.

Evidence will be required that shows you have a disability that was either caused or progressively aggravated by an already determined service connected disability.

SMC is an additional tax-free benefits that is paid to veterans, their spouses, surviving spouses and parents. Special Monthly Compensation for veterans is a higher rate of compensation paid due to special circumstances such as the need of aid and attendance by another person or by specific disability, such as loss of use of an organ or extremity. SMC is commonly referred to as Aid and Attendance when referring to spouses and surviving spouses. 

Unemployability is a compensation payable at the 100% rate to veterans who may be unable to maintain substantially gainful employment due to their service connected disabilities.

When it comes to disability compensation there are many different types of claims that apply.
