The Veterans Choice Program is designed for veterans to receive care through a community program that the VA pays for under certain circumstances. Such conditions may be that the VA can't provide services to, VA is unable to get the veteran into care in a timely manner and in most cases a veteran is more than 40 miles away from the nearest VA Medical Clinic or Hospital.
